2017 Principal Soiree A Smashing Success

Excitement was in the air at the 2017 Principal Soiree. It was an amazing standing room only evening of food, drinks, and a  sensational award ceremony.  Hosted by Ernest Logan (CSA President), Tonya Lewis (Executive Director Entertainers 4 Education Alliance/ I WILL GRADUATE Program).  

Every Principal who attended felt special as we rolled out the red carpet to celebrate another successful school year. The following principals received special recognition Dorald Bastian(New Millennium Business Academy Middle School), Maria Nunziata (PS.130 The Parkside School), Marie Polinsky(Pathway to Graduation), Rushell White (JHS 226 Virgil I. Grissom) and Frantz Lucuis (PS. 241).  The night culminated with a once in the lifetime concert by Hip-Hop living legend Kurtis Blow..... The Hudson Terrace will never be the same because the roof came off of the building.  It was EPIC!

I WILL GRADUATE - VILLAGE ACADEMY ATLANTA GEORGIA COLLEGE TOUR

April 26th - 28th, 2017 I WILL GRADUATE and Village Academy Middle School visited some of Atlanta Georgia's prestigious colleges and landmarks for three (3) days. Students participated in a series of College Access Workshops, Tours, College Mapping. 

Colleges/Universities visited:

· Georgia State
· Morehouse College
· Spelman College
· Clark Atlanta

Landmarks/Attractions:

  • Georgia Aquarium 
  • Centennial Olympic Park
  • World of Coca Cola

The purpose of this tour was to ensure that our students are exposed to a college-going culture and has the opportunity to visit a college campus to prepare them for high school, college and life success.

Funded provided by: I WILL GRADUATE Youth Development Program, Village Academy - Parent Teachers Association, College Access For All Middle School Initiative.

Mr. John shared his wisdom and his recipe for success in front of a packed house comprised of students, teachers, parents, supporters and community leaders. ENTERTAINERS 4 EDUCATION ALLIANCE SET TO UNVEIL I WILL GRADUATE POSTER CAMPAIGN Featuring GRAMMY AWARD WINNING DUO "MARY MARY". THE CEREMONY IS SET FOR TUESDAY, MAY 8 ON STEP OF CITY HALL. 

NEW YORK, NY MAY 2, 2012 Entertainers 4 Education Alliance is set to unveil its newest I WILL GRADUATE Campaign poster featuring three-time Grammy Award winning duo Mary Mary and stars of the hit series, MARY MARY on women's network WE tv. The ceremony will be held on Tuesday May 8, 2012 at 11am on the steps of New York's City Hall. 

"Mary Mary's" Erica and Tina Campbell will be on hand for the unveiling along Mayor Bloomberg and Chancellor Walcott who are invited to attend, along with WE tv's President/General manager Kim Martin, a host of city officials, students, teachers and Entertainers 4 Education Alliance's staff and board members to include NBA great John Starks. 

The poster campaign entitled 'Overcoming is Winning' will be displayed in schools across NYC and will be available on the organizations website, along with several platforms throughout the City of New York to be announced. The campaign will also run across Entertainers 4 Educations Alliance's social media platforms of Facebook, Twitter and also be available as a free download on the organization's website at www.e4ea.org. Entertainers 4 Education Alliance co-founder/Executive Director Tonya Lewis said, "It's vitally important that we all promote education to our youth and set a foundation for young people to make education a priority for their life. ...Education is the cornerstone of a successful life. We are fortunate to have Mary Mary lend their celebrity to help us promote this important message to our youth that education is winning and essential to their life." 

As a part of Mayor Bloomberg's Interagency Task for Truancy & Chronic Absenteeism Entertainers 4 Education Alliance, is working diligently to provide resources, incentives and innovative programs that are helping to keep students in school. J.P Taylorco-founder of Entertainers 4 Education Alliance added, " Our posters sends a simple message about the importance of education in a world where the importance of education has been diminished, it's vitally important that we all promote this positive message. WILLOW SMITH ENCOURAGES 200 NYC STUDENTS TO STAY IN SCHOOL

Entertainers 4 Education Alliance partnered with Willow Smith and Columbia Record and provided incentives for 200 NYC students encouraging them to stay in school. Willow premiered her 'Fireball' video featuring Nicki Minaj and did a special meet and greet with the students at the Sony Style Studio. Astro from X-Factor was also a special guest at the event.
